My name is Kristy Duris.  I am the Library Media Specialist and a Health Educator at Lin-Wood Public School. As cliche as it sounds, I am a lifelong learner.  I enjoy challenging myself and discovering new information, strategies, and skills to be a better educator and person.  I enjoy creating relationships with students (and staff, parents, etc.), as well as guiding and facilitating their learning.  I am also an avid hiker, biker, and nordic skier, and instruct cycling and yoga classes.  My husband is the chef/owner of the Gypsy Care (and you may see me there as well!). I am grateful to be part of the Lin-Wood community; it is supportive, collaborative, and super fun!

My Education and Professional Background:

I graduated from Plymouth State University with a M.Ed in health education and have been teaching health for 20 years.  I completed my library media specialist certificate in 2022 and have been in this role for three years.
