I have been an educator for 40 years - all of them in elementary special education! I enjoy working with young children because I love seeing the world through their eyes. Even though they have challenges, their determination and hope inspires me!
My Education and Professional Background:
I went to Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and graduated with a degree in psychology. After taking a few additional classes at Boston College and Boston University, I was able to get my teaching credentials. I went to Rhode Island College to get my master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education. I also have endorsements in Specific Learning Disabilities, Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities, and Early Childhood Education.
I taught at Bradley Hospital, a renowned psychiatric hospital in Providence, RI, for 5 years then moved to Meredith, NH. I developed and taught in an integrated preschool there for 11 years before moving to Lin-Wood in 1997.
I have enjoyed every chapter of my teaching career and even though retirement is getting closer, I still look forward to seeing the students every day and helping them reach their full potential!
