Kristie Morris, ELA/Social Studies
My name is Kristie Morris. I am a Middle School English Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher at Lin-Wood Public School. I am a mother of 3 boys who all attend or have attended LWPS. I am the President of the Booster Club and I'm on the School's Wellness Committee. I love to read, spend time with my family, and collect sand dollars at the beach. I love teaching grade 6 ELA and Social Studies because I love to watch kids grow and learn. I love watching them get excited about learning. I love working with my colleagues in the Middle School.
My Education and Professional Background:
I attended Castleton State University in Castleton, VT. I graduated in 1992. This will be my 32nd year in education. I hold a Bachelors +15. I was awarded a Master in the Middle award from New England League of Middle Schools in 2019. I began my teaching career at the Warren Village School teaching Title I and Special Education. I then switched to grade 6 at WVS. I started at LWPS in 1998. I have been teaching 6th grade here ever since.
