Emma Doubman, 4th Grade
Hi! My name is Emma Doubman and I'm teaching 4th grade. Originally from the suburbs of Boston, I realized I wanted to teach in high school through working at a local summer reading program and volunteering in my second grade classroom my senior year. Making connections with kids and getting to help them learn and grow as individuals throughout a summer or a school year was something I knew I wanted to continue doing. With all the teachers who have been important figures in my life, being a teacher seemed like the best way for me to do that!
My Education and Professional Background:
I went to Middlebury College - where, along with developing my love for teaching, I found out I love playing rugby - and did my student teaching in Salisbury VT, a very small town just a few miles south of Middlebury. After an experience in such a rural school, I spent the spring as a long-term substitute in the Boston area where I missed the tight-knit community of a small school, leading me to Lin-Wood. Outside of school, you will find me running, reading, or hiking.
