Kristen Bushway - K-12 Music

My name is Kristen Bushway. I am a K-12 Music Teacher at Lin-Wood Public School. I think music is the perfect medium to share creativity and personal expression. It's also a great way to practice skills that serve us in all areas of our lives. I've never wanted to do anything else but be a music teacher and share the joy it can bring. When I'm not making music in the classroom you can find me whitewater rafting or out hiking in the woods.

My Education and Professional Background:

Many years ago I graduated from Plymouth State University as a piano major. I continue to perform as a keyboard player for pit orchestras of local theater productions. My first teaching gig was 14 years ago and it continues to bring me joy...even the recorder! Some of my favorite highlights from my career: performing with my students at Carnegie Hall, singing with Eric Whitacre, and touring the United Kingdom with my select choir.
