I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you how excited and honored I am to be joining the Lin-Wood community as your principal. I truly believe that our school is a great place where students, faculty, and staff not only want to be, but find success. This positive culture and climate is supportive of my vision for education that quality learning is about the engagement and growth of all learners. As principal, I will strive to support and cultivate the engagement and growth of all involved in the Lin-Wood community.

We have been very active here at school over the summer weeks as we have strived to provide opportunities for students to succeed both in and out of the classroom. We once again have had a very successful season for both the Girls of Summer and Boys of Summer. We have continued our relationship with the Pratt Institute, allowing enrichment opportunities for students of all ages. We have also worked hard within our summer school programming, providing students with the supports they need to be successful throughout the school year. Finally our custodial and maintenance staff have done a fantastic job getting our building and grounds prepared for the new school year.

Once again I am both excited and honored to be the principal at Lin-Wood Public School. I look forward to the work of not only the next school year, but for years to come. I welcome the process of identifying the accomplishments that have been made, the challenges that we face, and moving our school forward together. My family and I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the community as we are settling into our new home in North Woodstock. I look forward to working with the students and families of our great community.

Sincerely,

Scott Currier, Principal
