Who Schools Are For:

Schools were created to meet the needs of children.  They were not created to employ teachers, administrators, counselors, nurses, secretaries, cooks, bus drivers or anyone else.  The reason for the existence of those of us in education is to serve the needs of those children. That means all of them- the bright, dull, loud, quiet, black, white, interested and even the disinterested ones. Our primary responsibility is to hold the well-being of children as the fundamental value in everything we do!
